Wife fell through a floor at a business. Do I need a lawyer?
My wife was at a spa getting a massage (which she loved), went to take a steam shower, and when she left the steam room, the tile & floor under her gave way. She fell up to her hips, and it ripped a bunch of skin off one side of her leg. We went to the emergency room, and she got 30 stiches, plus she will have a scar for life. Do I need to get a lawyer for any reason? Are we entitled to any kind of compensation?
Of course….get a decent lawyer ASAP and he’ll advise you on what sort of compensation you should get. In the US I’d say this is in the tens of thousands – in canada a cup of coffee or two. 
You need to do this ASAP, and get photos of it right away before it heals and document everything, including the emergency room reports if you can get them.
