Ideas on the cheapest way to make a large floor pillow?
I would like to make some floor pillows for an upcoming spa party, but am not a very experienced sewer. How much material would I need per pillow and what would I use for filling? I had read somewhere that you could combine old towels with polyester filling to save money on the filling. Is there anything else that I may be able to find around my house to use for the filling? I’d like to make the pillows large enough for an adult to comfortably sit and relax on.
Old bed pillows. Pull apart the filling so it is fluffier (did that for 4 couch pillows after bought new bed pillows). Cut up old (but clean) pantyhose/nylons. Go to Thrift store for comforters (now have filling & material) or cheap blankets, etc… that you can cut up into smaller pieces for inner fluff. Cut up grocery plastic bags (would be noisy). Go to grain elevator & get a couple of buckets of soy beans for filling (bean bag).
