What type of bedroom should I choose?
I am moving out of my parents house in the summer! I am excited to redo my room. I am torn between two bedrooms. I want a neutral, earthy feel like a spa (calming and relaxing). On the other hand, I really want a black and white contemporary bedroom. I love both themes, but I just cannot choose between them. The walls in the new house are neutral colors (light oyster). Thanks!

you can still get this feeling with a black and white bedroom. paint your bedroom a nice, clean white and add black trim along the top and the bottom. Use black modern furniture and black and white accessories (vases, clocks, jewellery boxes, etc) to contrast with your walls and trim, use very, very, very dark brown floorboards, black if you can. This is a great trick for anybody to separate two similar colours. To separate the same dark colour between your floor and bed, place a large white furry rug underneath your bed. This will keep your feet warm and toasty when you get out of bed every morning. It almost makes waking up worthwhile ha ha! decorate your windows with black and white curtains (I like a black with white circles theme, and if you can find rugs to match, even better! use this rug instead of a furry one if you like. it’ll look better) but for the type of bedroom you are going for, don’t use matching bedding and curtains. Just match them in colour, so use black quilts, throws, etc. but use white bedsheets and white pillows. don’t go for exactly the same set of curtains and bed stuff. hope i helped!
