Which Degree is Best?
I am interested in 3 fields right now that all have to do with the entertainment industry. I am torn apart by these 3 and I don’t know which degree to go for. I am afraid I will make the wrong mistake and not be able to get a job. These 3 fields are Digital Video Productions (creating, EDITING, writing, or directing films), Video Game Design (creating, writing, or designing video games), and Graphic Design (editing, creating, or publishing pictures and other things for advertising or other purposes). I have basic knowledge of programs like Adobe Photoshop and Premiere and love to use them. Which field is the hottest right now, pays the most, or is the most enjoyable? I don’t know which one to pursue. Any suggestions? Also, I don’t think there is a degree/program that covers all 3 fields, but if there is, let me know. Thanks in advance.
Start calling companies that have jobs which would be a dream job for you. Emphasize from the outset that you are not looking for a job, just doing homework for your future career. Ask the people who would be hiring you what kind of degree/GPA/work experience they would want to see before considering you for their team.
If you aren’t a huge fan of the guy currently in the oval office, it would be a good idea to start learning the talk, because the entertainment industry are hard core leftists, and if you can’t fit in with that crowd, they’ll never hire you.
