How do I fix this problem with my bathtub?
I have a jetted whirlpool jacuzzi, and I’ve been having a problem lately with the metal drain. The drain plug appears to be fully closed, however the water will gradually leak out as I use the tub. Within about ten minutes, the tub will go from full to about a third of the way full. This is pretty irritating, but I don’t have the money for a plumber. Is there a simple fix for this? Maybe replacing the metal drain stop? Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
You could try and replace the drain plug first and see if it helps.Otherwise the gasket under the tub that sits on the pvc drain is bad and will have to be replaced.It is not hard to do and should be a diy job with a little instruction..Someone at the hardware store should be able to help or look it up online..Good Luck..
