What is the difference between sterling silver and stainless steel when it comes to jewelry?
I would like to buy an bracelet, something I can wear ALL the time, and not trake off when I am showering or washhing dishes, which should I buy, I want something that will stand and not tarnish.. help
stainless steel is the matte STEEL that spoons are usually made of. sterling silver is the shiny SILVER that Tiffany’s jewelry is made out of. there is a big difference between these two materials as silver is much more valuable than steel. if you want to buy a sturdy everyday bracelet, buy a sterling silver Tiffany’s bracelet. It will last you a long time. silver can tarnish but you can polish it.
