I hate having a bath/shower when I’m menstruating? Is there an alternative way to clean myself?
It just feels plain disgusting and dirty to have a bath/shower when I’m on my period. What can I do instead?
I’m on my second period so I’m kind of new to this.
It’s just your blood and nothing to be afraid of or disgusted by. If you don’t clean yourself, the blood will decay, smell really bad, and it creates a great place for bacteria to grow (and possibly give you an infection)
If you don’t like seeing the blood on your washcloth, you can always turn the lights off or decide to not look at the cloth when you rinse it after you wash yourself down there. If you use a dark colored washcloth, say dark blue, then you won’t see anything. See – lots of ways around this without getting grossed out.
