What should i use?
i recently did a painted mural on the wall of our hot tub room and its done with acrylics. and obviously there’s going to be a lot of moisture on the walls. so what do i use to protect the paint. i was thinking something of a structure gel type of stuff i got at hobby lobby. its kind of like matte medium. so..what do u all think?
The acrylic paint is water proof and fine if you painted it on a dry surface. The wall will absorb moisture and slowly deteriorate, and that is the danger … I liked your other answer, which said cover it with clear acrylic … only cover the whole wall with clear A.
That will slow down its decay … your gel might work too. Try it on a small section first.
