Safety on sauna ceramic heater installation for home sauna cabin.?
I just bought 2 ceramic heaters for my home sauna cabin. It is 25.25″ over all length, main body of heater is .62″ in diameter. Unfortunately, the original ceramic bar is 300w and 220v (comply with Malaysia Electrical Standard), and the new arrival ceramic heaters are 300w and 110v (complies to US/Canada Electrical Standard).
My questions are:
1. Can the new heaters fit to my home sauna cabin’s electrical safety?
2. If not, what would be the best way to do to install the new heaters? (assume that the US seller refuse to accept my return goods). Any voltage converter to be considered too?

Find your circuit breaker and turn off the power to the room in which you will be replacing the wiring. If you are not positive which it is, as some boxes are poorly marked, be safe and turn off every circuit in the house. Fixing electrical wiring without turning off the power can lead to injury.

Change the gauge of wire first. Keep in mind that 220 volt wiring usually requires 10 gauge wiring; however, you will need to have an electrician remove the wiring and replace it with with 12 gauge wiring to accommodate the 110 volt system.

Remove your old circuit breakers. The current circuit breaker you are using only works with 220 volt wiring. Running the wrong kind of wiring through a system can lead to blown fuses or possibly electrical fires.

Shop for a converter. If your needs are not urgent enough or you are not comfortable replacing the wiring system yourself, there are several options for converting an outlet from 220 volt to 110. Shop online or visit your local hardware store. Depending on your specific needs there is a converter that will work for you.
