How Do I Drain a Hot Tub?
My husband and I recently purchased a home that has a hot tub outside on the back patio. There was no manual left behind, only some chemicals. I would like to know how to drain the hot tub? I’m assuming there is some sort of mechanism for doing this. Any information would be helpful.
Remove the panel, that covers the pump and piping. You should see a valve in the white drain pipe. It depends on the model, as to where it is located, and what type valve. It might be one that you can attach a hose to, or it could be tied into the sewer system, and just opening the valve will start draining the tub. You should be able to locate a name on a data plate, and contact the manufacturer, for operating instructions. You could also take some pictures, and go to a local hot tub store.
