Is it okay to go swimming if you have a fever?
I have a slight fever of 40.8 degrees Celsius. I was wondering if its okay to go swimming. My local community centre has a swimming pool,hot tub, and sauna.People say that when you have a fever to turn on the shower with really hot water and sit near the tub, so that the steam opened up your pores. Could a sauna, and a hot tub do the same?
I forgot to say im 14 years old and i just took some advil cold tablets and i feel fine.but i get chills or i get really hot.I dont want to be stuck in the house all day. My dad was saying the since being in a hot tub and then going into the pool the change on temperature could get me more sick?
Better dial your GP or any doctor please; because, so far I know, it’s good to have shower in HIGH fever but not at lower temp. (Actually, it’s not shower…just pouring cold water on head for a long time to cool down the temp; sometimes one is needed to sponge one’s body with cold water in high temp & then wipe off water)
