What is a bicycle frame pump? Is that what I need to put air in my bicycle’s tire?
A frame pump is a pump designed to be carried on the bike to fix flats encountered on the road. A frame pump is approximately as long as the top tube on your bike. An alternative is a mini pump which is about the length of a water bottle and can usually be mounted in conjunction with the water bottle cage. Frame pumps are easier to use than mini pumps because of their size. Neither a frame pump nor a mini pump should be your only pump. I got my floor pump on sale at Performance for $20. I use it to check and top off tire pressures before every ride.
I carried a full size Zefal HP frame pump on my previous road bike. Everyone made fun of me for dragging that big pump around. But, any time someone had a flat, they asked to borrow my Zefal.
