Broken Hot Tub – HELP!?
So my sister and I are dog sitting for her boss. While they were out of town they told us they’d like us to stay at the house to keep their dog company and to use the hot tub whenever we’d like. We used it once and the next time we went outside it was cold. The thermostat is turned to max, we’ve already checked that. The lights come on and it makes a constant humming like it IS working but its not. The pumps will not turn on. I don’t even know where the opening is to get inside to the circuit breaker. I’m pretty much clueless here. All I know is that its a country leisure, I have no Idea what the model number is. Anyway we would like to be able to fix it ourselves if its something as easy as flipping a switch. We just don’t want my sis’s boss to think we broke it because we really don’t think it could have been our fault. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
If this hot tub is plugged into a GFCI outlet, you might want to check & see if it’s “tripped”. You can do this by depressing the top of the two buttons located in the center of this outlet. If you do not happen to see a GFCI outlet, chances are, the hot tub is “hard wired”. This would require you to search & locate the service panel & reset the the breaker designated to that circuit. If this isn’t working for you, then, well, the pump might have went out on you…not good…Anyway, give those tips a try & I do wish you the very, very best of luck to a solution…Take care…
