Is mineral engine oil recommended for hot region vehicles?
Your car manufacturer recommends motor oil viscosity. The beauty of full synthetic oil is it flows freely at reduced temperatures which means you always allow the oil pump to force a greater volume of oil to frictional surfaces quicker at hot and cold starts. Synthetic oil has an extra dose of detergents and EP (extreme pressure) properties. It also resists flashing to fire at elevated temperatures. They help resist formation of gum, varnish and sludge. It’s entirely up to you weather you want to spring for the extra money for an improved product. Bare in mind that many high performance cars roll off the assembly line with Mobil1 in the crankcase. As you can see you get the best of both worlds with most any brand of full synthetic oil. Mobil1 publishes very interesting information under their product data sheets for every motor oil they sell. On the Mobil website so you can actually see compare how they perform against each other.
