Read your answer regarding cleaning impeller on Jacuzzi Magnum Force . Problem is I can’t find the tab to unlock the top side of the ring. Help
If it’s a ring lock, that top tab sometimes goes missing. It’s normally yellow in colour, although I’ve seen them white as well ( probably due to discolouration). It should be visible at the top , back side of the motor / volute locking ring. Just pull it out a bit with your fingernail and start turning the ring counterclockwise. If all you see are two small holes, then the tab has taken a walk. In that case, there’s no lock and you can simply unscrew the ring. Take care that when you re assemble eveything that you don’t pinch the body O ring and you align the side guide tabs properly. Don’t over tighten that ring. Hand tight and if the lock tab is there, you’ll hear a click when it’s in the right spot. If no lock tab, hand tight and have those two holes missing the tab, at the top position.
