What caused my shower head to leak and loose pressure?
My shower is separate from the tub, when I was taking a shower my wife decided to wash out the tub using hot water when suddenly I heard a “thunk” and the hot water lost pressure in the shower and tub at the same time and now when I turn off the shower the head has a steady drip (b4 it did not leak). I have copper pipes and water is supplied by city and house is 10 years old. Can anyone tell me what caused the “thunk” I heard, what caused the pressure drop, and why wont the shower head stop leaking? Also how can I get this all fixed myself any help is thankful. Also rest of house is fine. And I have also changed the cartridge for the Moen shower faucet to stop the leak, it help but there is still a small leak now. Thank you
Sometimes when you replace a cartridge, it still leaks.
Reinstall the cartridge, be careful not to brake it, while doing that.
