Why do I have no hot water when I run my bath?
When I turn the hot bath tap on full in order to fill the bath, the water does not come out hot. If I turn the hot tap on only slightly so the water comes out slowly, then it is hot! I am confused! The hot water comes out fine from the basin tap.
Thanks RP, but it’s filling the bath using the top tap I am having trouble with not a shower.
I meant ‘hot’ tap not ‘top’ tap!!
I bet you have a single valve control on your shower. These have an “antiscald” device in them. It prevents you from burning yourself. If you can access the back of your shower plumbing. you may be able to adjust it. Otherwise replace the control valve with one that will let you turn it up hot.
