How do I remove my bath tub?
Had renters who broke tiles in the bathroom. I replaced the tiles and under layment as a short fix till they moved. But I noticed that some of the support strips under the tub were a little wet. So now I need to remove the tub to make sure there is no water damage under the tub. The tub looks like it will just slide right out and the fixture are above it on the wall.

most tubs are held in place by their weight alone. Disconnect the plumbing into the tub and then disconnect the drain to the tub. Break the sealing around the tub and with a bit of difficulty (because they weigh a good bit) you can then remove the tub.
