Does the wax at the spa or salon contain germs?
I’ve been considering a brazillian wax recently and it brought about a whole new set of concerns for me. As I was laying there the other day having my brows waxed it dawned on me, they use the same wax container for all body areas, they redip the sticks in to the wax, so that stick that was spread on someones privare areas was redipped in wax that was used on my face! I am fairly certain most but i’m sure not all places use new sticks but the wax is “community”.
Can I catch herpes from someone with a cols sore on their lips or if the person before me has genital herpes can I get it from the wax. I know it might sound dumb but thinking about those sticks being redipped then spread on my body sort of skeeves me.
Should I be worried? Maybe the wax is hot enough to kill the germs? I have no idea but I hope I can get some honest responses!
