how do you make a facial mask?
Im having a sleepover and the theme is spa-tacular!!!! i want to do facials but i want a facial mask made of avacodoes and other natural elements. but it cant irritate skin or anything. does any body have suggestions? it will be helpful!!!
Aspirin Mask:
Normal to Oily Skin type:
2-3 tablet of UNCOATED aspirin in several (5-10) tsp of water. Let the asprin break down and mix it around. Apply the mixture and leave it on for however long you like. Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory, so it may soothe any redness. You can also use the BC aspirin powder so you can mix easier and not have to wait, you can add less water to make it a little gritty so you can scrub it on, too, to exfoliate.
NOTE: if you like for the aspirin to stick to the face better, add plain honey as an adhesive so the product sticks to the skin easier.
Norma to dry:
Add extra virgin olive oil over the aspirin mask to add a kick of emollient and antioxidants to the batch. Olive oil is a blend of triglycerides, sterols, squalene, and fatty acids that mimics skin barrier to seal hydration.
You can use avocados as a substitute for olive oil. Or use them both. Please understand there is a high chance of a oily/sticky mess. The oils in the avocado has emollient properties, too. I am sure there are aromatic chemicals in avocados so be kind and ask your friends if they are allergic to fragrance.
Make sure you cleanse the face so these ingridients can absorb. I believe it is best to leave the aspirin mask on for 15-30 minutes.
NOTE: do not use lemon, lime, oranges, or any other citrus fruits because they contain high fragrant irritants that can inflame the face along with phototoxic components found in lemon and lime. IF you have any of these fruits, eat them while you have on the masks.
