What should I do, girls in the jacuzzi with my son?
I’m a concerned 36 year old single father. I have a 14 year old son who is a competitive swimmer and has to wear a speedo for his sports. Well his friend invited 3 girls, in bikinis, over to use the jacuzzi with them. He was going to wear regular board shorts but they said something to him and he went inside, got his speedo on and came out and got in the jacuzzi. One or two of the girls were rubbing there thighs against his, and grabbing the wasteband on the side of his speedo. I didnt see anymroe because I think it was wrong to be watching my son and his friends, and I gave them privacy. He didn’t seem to have a problem with it, and I do not want to interfere with his life too much. Should i stop him from having friends over in the jacuzzi, or leave him be? I am single and my wife always took care of this kind of stuff while I was working. Help please.
That is inappropriate and needs to come to a screeching halt. He is living in your house and you NEED to interfere in his life and with his Friends. If you don’t you may very well be a grandpa sooner than you would like too. Allowing kids to do those things in inappropriate clothing (at that age they can wear shirts and shorts!) will put them in situations where they are forced to endure peer pressure that can lead up to bad choices because he isn’t mature enough to make a sound choice. You have to have boundaries to keep him safe and keep his friends safe. As a parent that is our job, to keep our kids safe and if that means ticking them off or interfering in there lives it must happen. We are parents not buddies. He will have a lifetime of “buddies” but only one parent that loved him enough to teach him and protect him. Be strong and do what is best for him his friends will get over it.
