Where would I buy components for building a custom computer case?
Hello!
I am trying to design a custom computer case. Here’s my problem though. I’ve done some searching, but I cant seem to find a site that sells interior components for a computer case. By that I mean, motherboard trays, internal drive bay racks, ect. I did find a site that tells how to build a motherboard tray yourself, (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=83086 in case you’re interested.) so what I’m most interested in finding right now is that skinny rack that sits behind the motherboard and has the covers for the PCI slots. You know, the expansion slots. If someone could direct me to a site or sites that sells individual case components i would very much appreciate it.

I agree with the first person. I have never seen just case components sold anywhere. You could get all the parts you’re looking for buy buying up otherwise useless, out of date computers.
The drive racks and motherboard mounts from even a Pentium II machine really aren’t that different from what’s in use today. I’ve seen P2 era machine going for as little as $20 on Craigslist.
If you can find enough of those, you’ll have more than enough raw material to build a case to your liking.
