5days of no more then 10min of sleep per day please help me?
hi 2 all !! im 32 wks preg with twins havntsleptmore than 10min per day in the last 5 days i am desperate for help and all because of this so called minor element of pregnancy – restless legs !! i have tried the soap under the sheets thing, showers, baths, massage, sex, exercise during the day. it was suggested that restless legs were caused by calcium deficiency, iron deficiency and low magnesium levels so i have been taking all thesesupplements and to no relief ! please any more ideas im going CRAZY !!
its 2 the point where its a constant thing not just when i go 2 bed. its when im sitting, standing,laying in fact i cant lay for more than 5 min without getting terribly frustrated by this horrible feeling! this is my 3rd preg and i never had this with my other 2 preg.
You really need to call your doctor asap and tell her/him what’s going on. Your body definitely needs sleep now more than ever. There is probably a safe medication your doctor can give you to help you sleep.
ETA: I have restless leg syndrome and it’s worse when I have pms and when I’m pregnant, but I’ve never been as debilitated by it as you are, poor thing. I do know there’s a medication for it, but I don’t know if it’s safe during pregnancy.
ETAmore: You seem intelligent enough to not listen to poster Chris M., but just in case – don’t listen to him! Unless your doctor told you not to have sex, it’s perfectly safe. And it is not safe to walk around carrying twins with just 50 minutes of sleep a week (or even a night)!
