Bath tub won’t come clean!?

My husband and I bought a nice 2 BR 2 BA home. But we have yet to use the bathroom connected to our bedroom. It has a jacuzzi tub and glass shower doors and it’s filled with mildew and soap scum. I have scrubbed it like crazy name the product and I’ve used it. Nothing is working. When I clean it, it looks great…until it dries, than it looks as if I did nothing to it. I tried scrub brushes, scrub pads, brillo pads. I tried baking powder, comet, pure bleach. NOTHING I’d really like to use the jacuzzi tub, but I don’t want to get in there with the black mildew and all that soap scum. When you turn on the shower head most of the holes are all clogged. I tried to scrub it and it’s like rocks solid on there.

grab a white towel… (old one) line your tub with it. Pour straight bleach on it and let it sit. Give it about 30 minutes to really soak in and then remove the towel and try scrubbing it then. the key is soaking it. The shower the same thing plays true. I would try paper towels on the shower tho… just saturate the paper towels and stick them to the walls.

The shower head- remove it and soak it in a cup of CLR (calcium lime and rust remover) Just fill a cup of it and throw the head in there! If you can disassemble it a little it will clean it faster and better. But the CLR literally eats away the calcium deposits.

Make sure you have a fan in the bathroom or a window open!

Also, another thing that works is – Automotive – white wall cleaner – called Bleach White. But pure bleach works just as well…. and its way cheaper.
