i rent and my lease is over soon and to get this ass’s to fix anything is like pulling hair. my son takes a bath, is it bad for him to do so if there is rust forming. is there anything i can use to get rid of it myself? is there led in rust? this might me the dumbest question of all time. thanx for any input..
no, there is no lead in rust. rust is oxidized iron. Lead is lead.
You can buy a product called “naval jelly” at a nautical store. It is a caustic jell that will eat the rust away. The problem is that it will come right back if you don’t seal over it with something.
You might contact a bathtub refinshing service. It will cost a few hundred dollars most likely.
