I have a MagneTek .75 HP 60 HZ Jacuzzi Pump. Is it enough to pump up 13 feet and run my 300 gallon Fish Tank?
Specs: Says Century Pool/Jetted Tub Motor on label. It says Part7- 177613 – 20. RPM 3450, Volts 115. I am plannin on putting the pump in the basement and pumping it through the main level’s floor into my tank. This may even be as high as 18 feet. If this pump won’t do the job, do you know of any pumps that would? I VERY MUCH appreciate your respons. Thanks in advance. Brian
The pipe used on this pump would be probably 1 3/4 ” diameter. I found on a website (see link) that it looks like this pumps at 70 GPM (gallons per minute) or 4,200 GPH. From the graph it appears if the pump were to pump even at a height of 30 feet it would still pump out at 65 GPM which would be more than enough to run my 300 gallon tank. This is based on the pump being a .75 HP, 60HZ and 3450 RPM all which match up on this graph. Please provide me with your further advice. Thank You.

You really should have one created for a fish tank. You don’t want to risk stressing your fish out. I would suggest checking your local pet store and they should be able to recomend what you need if they don’t carry it. Also, once you know what you need maybe you can find it online at a cheaper price (the bigger the tank usually means a bigger price tag)>
