Looking to contact Eric Murray ex irish show-band member, can anyone help?
Hi,
I am looking to contact Eric Murray. He was in the irish showband circuit for years, he was a member of the Dreams, Hot Air Machine and The Sands -to name the most notable. My mum used to follow him and they were very good friends however lost touch. I want to try and get an old single signed by him for her birthday.
Anyone who knows of him or a good way to track him down it would be really appreciated. He is as far as I know still living in the Republic of Ireland.

A reference to an Eric Murray (drummer) Carlow born but based in New York http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/weekend/1997/1220/97122000192.html There is just a chance that this Eric Murray is a son of the one you are looking for. I had a look at the phone book for Carlow, but no success finding any Eric Murray who might be the dad.

Also the photo which appears in every link I tried would put this fellow (not Eric Murray) into a different, younger generation.
