Does it sound to you like I may have broken my foot?
About 2 weeks ago I was on a walk and I went to kick a stone on the ground without realizing that it was actually a piece of ice stuck to the ground. I jarred my foot quite hard on it and yes, it was painful, but it did not seem to be anything too serious. Since then, my foot has been hard to walk on with the pain eminating from the pad on my foot beneath my toe, but not on the toe itself. I’ve been walking on the outer side of my foot this whole time. I have been waiting for it to ‘heal itself’ but that does not seem to be doing the trick. It got really sore the other day after sitting in the hot tub for 45 mintues or so. Now my foot is quite swollen. I am having a hard time bending my big toe. Constant dull pain, with shooting pains here and there.
What I am asking, is what sypmtoms a person should expect with a broken foot? What about with a pulled tendon? Arthrtis?
I think that I will go to the doctor this afternoon, I am just asking for an opinion.
You more than likely jammed your toe similar to when a football played gets what is called “turf toe” it is painful and can last for months. Try to stay off it as much as you can ice it for swelling. Good Luck
