Spa treatments in early pregnancy?
hi there, wonder if anybody can help. I am 8 weeks pregnant and concieved whilst on holiday. while there i had 2 hot body wraps and used a sauna and steam room ( only for about 5min) not knowing that i was pregnant. I have been reading that hot temp are not good for the baby but as this was very very early on will it make a difference???
the 2 hot body wraps were 20 min each!! 
the first one was very hot the 2nd was not as hot.
You should be fine. Yes they do say stay away from exteme heats but for a long period of time. Hot tubs should not be over 103 and a limit of 10 mins tops while in. Since you were in a sauna for onyl5 mins you should be fine. If something was really wrong you would have been feeling really sick! most women do not go while in there first trimester because of nasea. Now that you are aware of your prenancy you will be fine if you just use extreme heats wisely!
