I have a sauna in my home in LA that I want to move up to Santa Clara. It has 220 electrical.?
The house I want to move it to has an old circuit breaker box but has a lot of outlets in the garage including a 240v for the dryer. I’m wondering how easy it would be to install a 220 plug in the garage? And how much it would cost. I’m on a budget. The heater instructions say this model uses 8.0 kw and 208 V. Please help! About 200 for an electrician.
About 50 in parts if you want to do it yourself. I am a DYI’er, but I have a lot of experience and basically do everything I am strong enough for. However, even I find installing new circuit breakers rather scary. Do not even attempt this unless you have the right tools to make sure there is no current at all when you are working.
