sony ericsson 580i dead?
I got my phone in November of 2007 and it was working fine up until today.
It won’t turn on at all. I tried charging it for an hour or two but nothing happened.
Could it have been the heat of the car? I didn’t leave it in direct sunlight (it was covered by some clothes and inside of a bag) but it was a rather hot day (around 90-100 F).
Is there any way to fix this?
Well since you bought it november 2007 then ur warranty should still be open. The warranty last for one year on all 580i phones(it comes included with the phone) Don’t call sony or at&t cuz they will try to charge u for a new one. Just go to a cingular store and tell them ur phones doesn’t want to turn on. Most likely they will tell you to go to a cingular store that has a technical supposrt center (if they don’t have one there.) At one of those centers they will exchange it for a new one. They transfer everything that was one ur original phone to ur new one. Trust me this happened to me and they exchanged it without asking me much questions.
