I have a 4 ft. wall surrounding the back of my 26,000 gallon inground pool. Last week I tapped the wall?
and the lights (which are both about 1 ft or so below the water level attached to this same wall) went out simultaneously. I tried hitting a reset button on my outside control panel but I’m not sure this reset button has anything to do with the lights. The reason I say this is because this control box simply let’s me put the pool in time-out and/or service mode when I’m outside, in the event I need to work on the pool for whatever reason. In any event, tripping the reset button did not make the 2 lights work. So I’m wondering, when I tapped the wall, what caused the 2 pool lights to go out simultaneously and more importantly, what solutions are out there to get these 2 lights working again. I’m wondering if I go to the electrical box on the side of my house (containing many breakers, and some of the breakers are specifically marked “Pool”, although they do not appear to be tripped (since the rest of the pool is working fine, including the light in the spa), would it do any good??
THERE should be a GFI device on the controls for the lights….but to reset the GFI,you must make sure lights are on in service mode…also the control box should have a breaker labeled “lights”
