Can a desert tortoise be left around a spa?
I am thinking about buying a desert tortoise as a gift for my parents. They have a great backyard that the tortoise will be able to roam around in but also have an in-ground spa. Would it be safe to have the tortoise roaming in the yard without a cover on the spa?
It is not a good idea do to the fact that they don’t swim so you would have to cover the spa or put a barrier around it
