What is the name of the children’s book where the dog wants to go on vacation?
It is probably a scholastic children’s book written in the mid 1990′s. It begins with a dog working at an ice cream factory in the middle of winter and wants to be somewhere warm and tropical, but can’t. By the end, he surprises his friend by creating a tropical place inside his home with sand, a hot tub, umbrella and mural. It is one of my favourite illustrated children’s book of all time and can’t seem to find the title anywhere. Please help me out!
