Ladies with severe cramps.. I need some advice! (see details)?
I get severe cramps w/ my period & cannot find anything to relieve the pain.I have tried every OTC pain reliever they have. even Midol doesn’t help. I only wiegh 95 lbs & I have taken 3… 500mg acetametaphin tablets at once b 4 trying to relieve the pain, but it didn’t help. I have heard excersise helps but I can hardly even get to my feet when the cramps come & when I do walk it makes them worse. I have tried applying heat & cold to my stomache. I’ve tried hot baths..One thing that does TEMPORARILY ease the pain is laying flat in the tub & turning the shower on.I guess it’s the warmth w/ the “massage effect”. But as soon as my hot water runs out & I get out of the tub they’re right back. So please, if anyone has a “magic cure” please let me know.. & I have had paps done & let my gyno aware of these cramps. They make it sound like it’s nothing to worry about. I am not on birth control at this time. When I was it seemed to help but I am unable to take it @ this time..Thanks
Has your doctor checked you for any reason of severe cramps? I had cramps that put me on the floor vomitting, only to find out that I had a fibroid tumor the size of a gold ball. Also, a good friend of mine had horrible cramps and she had a bad case of endometrioses. Endo can cause SERIOUS cramping. The quicker you get your doctor to diagnose the issue, the quicker you start feeling better. My doctor checked for three things: fibroid, endometrioses, and PCOS. It took me going through three doctors before I found one that was intrested in diagnosing for anything. Thank goodness he did, because I couldn’t have lived that way any longer.
Also, steer clear of caffeine for about a week before you start and then through out. That can help a little bit, as well as hot baths and lots of pain killers.
