What does a electric motor capacitor do?
I have a 2 speed hot tub pump, that only runs on high. When we try to run it on low for circulation it trips the breaker. The pump has been very reliable for last 6 years…. till now. Is this a capacitor problem?
The running capacitor in a single phase motor increases the torque for rootating the rotor.Check the capacitor for a possible replacement.
