What should I expect the cost of a complete home rewiring to be?
I live in central california. I am remodeling my home, I currently have no inside walls and figured it would be a good time to upgrade all the wiring while everything is exposed. I also want to upgrade my service panel. The house is 1200 sqft, three bedrooms, one and a half bath, kitchen and living room. The house needs 240 to the heater, and the dryer, and one for a steam shower i want to add to the bathroom. What would be a reasonable cost to replace the service panel, all the wiring switches and outlets and run some new lines to new recessed lighting?
Without looking at it I would say between $4000 to $6000. I would go to www.servicemagic.com and get a few(3) estimates and go with the middle one.
