how hot is the heating element?
how hot does the heating element in an electric baseboard heater get? ( could i have removed the safety cut off by mistake – i dont think i have… but i wanted to make sure.. )
+i dont think it would change the answer but ..my question is about a 240v/1500w heater.

Not red hot. Depends on the model and style. I doubt you did what you think you did so no reason to do the freak.
But it is a heat source, so no paper or blankets or wood should be near it because over time anything of that nature will burn.
Have you not noticed that even in the summer time people will burn and the heat source is 93 million miles away.
