Too much chlorine in my hot tub–what can I do?
I tested my hot tub water today, it was bottomed out on chlorine. So I added some, noting that I usually put too little in, and I overdid it. Now it’s all the way on the other end of the test strip, maxed out (and it took the bromine from bottomed out to maxed out as well). What can I do?
It won’t hurt anything except your clothes…but if you want to consume excess Cl, remove your thermal cover for a day and let the sun get in. If you retest it after that and it’s still off the charts, partially drain the tub and refill with fresh water
