How to find a leak in a hot tub?
I know it’s not leaking around the heater or the pvc piping or unions as I can get to these. I fill the water up and it leaks out to about 1 1/2 feet of water left. I think it’s coming from one of the jets, but as you know it’s full of insulation underneat and I don’t know how to locate which one. Will a product like fix seal work? Or is there somehting else I could be doing? Thanks
Is this outdoors where you can access the sides and look underneath to possibly see where it might be wet under it? Any cracks in the shell(tub)? Have you tried closing off the jets one by one with a cork,especially in the area where bthe water level drops to. Would use some type of food coloring to add to water and look underneath to see if you could possibly find it. May require removing some of insulation around the lower jets. Behind the jets is a gasket that may be leaking. Can be repaired with some effort if able to find and access the jet if leaking from there.
