how do I reduce the total alkalinity in my easy set pool?
I have one of thoes 12 foot easy set pools and my TA is really high but the ph, th, and fc are fine. I know I need to use muritac (not sure on the spelling) acid, but how much and when and how long do we wait to swim? Also can we swim with the high ta level? Will it hurt us in any way? And how do you add the muritac acid???? Any advice on the matter would be greatly apreciated.
the pool is 12′ x 36″ and holds 1,770 gal.
i use muratic acid in our pool , but you must use caution never add water to acid add acid to water! but first go get a 20.00regent test kit get one that will check ph- clorine -alkilinity you will do whats called acid demand test with it! based on water gallons it will tell you to add drops to see how much acid to add you can also buy acid in granular form which is slightly safer! one adjustment will effect the other one
