Mid 40′s and looking for some music that actually has a story or a meaning to it’s lyrics. I’ve always been into musicians who can relate life’s intricasies thru their songs. Examples; Springsteen…”used cars…factory…racing in the street…too many to keep going. Mellencamp…Rain on the scarecrow…Jack and Diane. Eagles …Pretty maids. Dylan…Way too many. Simon and Garfunkel. Jackson Browne. Johnny Cash. Natalie Merchant. Many others. I would just like to be directed to some others that I have missed. Be it older or newer I am open to listening to songs which actually relay life’s experiences not just sing-song. The only exception is that I cannot handle Rap. Sorry for those of you who favor that but I, myself, cannot. Also, please be specific as to the title and artist. And lastly, I will not be able to choose a best answer as that would definitley be subjective. I will let others decide that honor. Looking forward to many responses. Thank You All.
